We're calling on YOU to help us name our latest jaw-dropping attraction – the world’s biggest brown snake replica! Last week, we asked you for all your best name suggestions. After HUNDREDS of creative, quirky, and funny options, we've narrowed it down to four top contenders: Tex, Bruno, Maiyaa or Hisstopher!
This larger-than-life brown snake replica is no ordinary addition! Measuring a colossal 6 meters tall and stretching a WHOPPING 30 meters in length, this three-tonne masterpiece took over 3,000 hours to create and now proudly slithers atop the park’s brand-new Weigel Venom Centre. All they need now is a name!

THE NAMES
The name Tex was suggested by 8 commenters on Facebook and Instagram, it is short for ‘Pseudonaja textilis’, the scientific name for a brown snake.
Bruno was suggested a total of 4 times, Hisstopher was commented only once but made a big impact on the Australian Reptile Park team, and the name Maiyaa was also suggested once. Which is short for ‘Anowa maiyaa’ meaning ‘snake’ in the Aboriginal language local to the Central Coast, Awabakal.

FAQ
All ticket holders will be able to vote onsite when either purchasing or checking in at reception. Voting is strictly in person and must be used with tickets redeemed before the 31st of March.
